Surfside Beach

Surfside Beach is one of the friendliest, family-oriented beaches in the area. In 2016, Surfside Beach became the first autism-friendly travel destination in South Carolina, and offers daily activities for kids including a weekly movie festival at the public library. The town has seven parks and playgrounds, plus tennis courts and bocce ball courts.

Families can enjoy watching movies together while dining at one of several restaurants along Hwy 17 Business. There are five shopping centers with boutique stores offering a variety of prices.

The Family Beach

If you love the beach, you’ll love Surfside Beach. Their beautiful beaches are cleaned daily and supervised by local police. Some beach accesses even offer showers, handicap accessible ramps, and restrooms that are open to the public. Surfside is also known for being an eco-friendly town, encouraging beach-goers to recycle their cans, bottles, and paper in the cans provided at every beach location. This is the perfect place for family fun, boating, fishing, and surfing!
